Vandana my dearest friend
The one on whom I could depend
The one who would always a patient ear lend
The one who would many a problem mend
When she moved away a couple of years back
And stopped calling as usual I was a bit taken aback
Alas I assumed her life was back on track
Bogged down as I was with issues back to back
She had shared every secret with me, her friend
But news of her illness she withheld till the very end
When I came to know it was time for her to go
And I am still reeling from this cruel blow
How could she,so chirpy, to an illness, succumb?
The thought of the pain she endured just leaves me numb
Memories of conversations keep flooding back
Tears they have been flowing ...I just can't hold them back
Couldn't bring myself to see her lifeless
In my mind she will always remain graceful and ageless

Rest in Peace Dearest

It seems so ridiculous so as to write an OBITUARY for my Vandu..It seems like yesterday when we went visiting Nahargarh fort in Jaipur. There are so many memories, I am finding very difficult to collate for the simple reason that you are being spoken off in the past tense...
I may write something later, but for the moment rest in peace my little angel..
Aparna, Thane Aug 12, 2019 01:34 PM

It’s most shocking to see such a beautiful young life leave us for her heavenly abode .... I’m still trying to absorb this harsh truth ... not easy as I’ve seen her and known her since She was a tiny tot and living just an house away from mine.... I’ve seen her grow into a beautiful young girl .. then getting married .. having her daughter ... a lovely happy life which all of us yearn till this sudden harsh news if this grave illness .... still not able to accept that she is no more ... this feeling that one of my neighbourly young sister is no more is difficult to absorb. I wish lot of strength to her loving husband who tirelessly cared for her in her sickness and left no stone unturned to keep her wz him in this world, to bear her loss and vaccum in his life. God bless you for all your efforts. And May her family be strong to bear her loss specially my heart goes to her mother who is so frail and going through a huge emotional trauma since past one year. I pray dear Vandu to have a final resting abode with God may her family and relatives be strong to bear this loss in their life. Be happy Vandu where ever you are may you find Moksha.....

Vandana ... We will certainly miss your presence but you will always be there in our thoughts. You were always there for your friends and can’t thank you enough for being there and your support during our tough times.
I think I would not worry about span of life as you had the cutest daughter, the most loving husband who stood by you 24by7 and crazy friends like us. I don’t think anyone can wish for anything more.
The time we spent with you is priceless and your memories will echo through the endless corridors of time. If we ever get a chance to ask God, I think we would want know why you?

'Maa jaisi' ... Which means MASI ... A forever smiling person who called me kanya girl...
Those special memories will always bring a smile,
only if I could have you back for a little while..
Then we could sit and talk again,
just like we used to do.
You always meant so very much
and always will do too..
The fact that you are no longer here, will always
cause me pain but you'll forever be in my heart.
until we meet again.
It would be difficult penning down all that we shared here..but I would just say rest in peace my dearest masi. You will be deeply missed!
Love you lots
Your kanya girl!

The clouds have burst. Torrential rain has made vision blurred. As I move, I wonder why? Then figure out, the Gods are weeping. The sound and the fury of the Heavens seems also to ask why! Between the commotion I hear the jingle, the ring coming from far.... That sweetness... as though it was yesterday and the day before and the day before that...I'm still groping to find the voice... the long chats of mutual joys and sorrows. Where is it now...? I realise.. It was the sweetest song that told me of her saddest thought..... Bye Vandu. I would like to live with your sweetness, beauty and all the beautiful memories the angel that you were. Will meet you there too, whenever God wants me to be with you. May the Almighty give Dear Anil And Yashasvi lots of strength to bear the cherished gift of togetherness Vandu gave you... Bulbul jiji

Loving Vandana
May your soul rest in peace
Atul and Jyoti Gaur, THANE ( W ) Aug 13, 2019 05:37 PM
Both self and my wife Jyoti havd been shell shocked since we came to know of the sad news of Vandana.
The whole Modi parivaar has been very loving. Anil has always led from the front and Yashasvi the cute little darling has always made the parents proud. But it is Vandana who was the center of the ?????? around which the life revolved.
We sincerely pray for the departed soul to rest in peace and continue to spread the love in the astral world. We all know that one day we all have to go, but it is important that we make the life count in the years we live than the years in our lives and Vandana made the former. I pray that Anil and Yashasvi are able to bear the loss and carry the love and fragrance of Vandana forward.

'Parivaar' written in Hindi ( in our obituary) got replaced by. '?????' And I had to correct it, to convey our right feelings and hence this correction message again.

You have merged with the supreme. The suffering you have endured is prarabda karma. You have exhausted all your karmas in this life. You are out of the cycle of birth and death. You are at peace.
